Fishing Report: 11.18.24

After putting on my usual fall fishing get-up, I took the girls outside this morning (DPS, if you're interested) around 5am, I realized it was hot outside (relatively) and I was heating up faster than Jiffy Pop over an open flame on the equator.  Never forget that perspiration is your worst enemy when trying to stay warm.  After rethinking my attire, Jojo pulled in and was having the same trouble.  It was ridiculously warm.  Joe fished in nothing more than jeans and a fleece.

We stuck to the plan we hatched yesterday and spent our entire trip in UN4 with the singular goal of catching a musky, any musky. 

Life was everywhere. 

While trolling with our new buddy, Jon Swan (Jon Swan is mute swan that watched us troll from a distance for most of the morning.  If I spoke mute swan I would have asked him if he was Irish or Scottish.... get it, Jon MacSwan) we popped two small muskies, a 32" and a 38".  Both fish smacked a Legend Perchbait in silver flash.

We were out from 6:30 to 10:30.  The two dinks were our only action.  It was wonderful out there.  Light winds with clear skies giving way to clouds.  The water was green with about 8 to 10 feet of visibility.  And it was warm.  Magnificent.  Ridiculous weather and ridiculous results.  We actually caught muskies.  Weird, huh?  Thanks, Jojo!

By the way, DPS stands for Double Poop Success...
