Short Nip Trip

The food has been purchased. The boat is ready. The lures, rods, reels, equipment and clothes are packed. Now I wait.

On Monday, my brother, Paul Papke -- the human cartoon -- and I will take our first fishing trip together in thirteen year. Tempus fugit.

We are off to Lake Nipissing, or "The Rock" as we call her; my favorite place on the planet. Wish us luck. We'll need all the help we can get. Paul is 65 now and I no longer drink, so I don't think we'll need any bail money, I hope.
