Once again we are running the Old Homes Days Kids’ Fishing Derby.  The event takes place on Saturday, July 11 at Island Park (behind the Town Hall on Main St.) in the Village of Williamsville from 9AM to noon. 

The derby is for children up to the age of 16 and is open to the public.

We need volunteers to help remove hooks, tie knots, sort tangles, measure and record fish and answer silly questions posed by really nervous parents.  Best of all, you’ll be encouraging the kids to keep on fishing and thank the adults for taking the time on a beautiful Saturday, when there are a hundred other things to do, to give the young fishers something that will last them the rest of their lives.

As always, our club has purchased prizes for the top 10 and everyone walks away with a lure.

Wear something with NMA on it and bring a pair of needle nosed pliers or hemostats.
