Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Event Description

September is back-to-school time!  Marc Arena, a math teacher at my old high school Williamsville South (or High School USA as Marc refers to it (all I know it was the toughest six years of my life, although the lunches were great)), will instruct us as to the strategies and approaches he and his friends have used to bring big muskies to the boat over the years, in a presentation entitled: Pigs & Perseverance.  Besides teaching Williamsvile’s best and brightest the Laplace Transform, Marc is the owner of Red October Baits, one of the elite and well-traveled musky anglers in WNY, our Vice President and the inventor of the GLH-9: Hair in a Can, Mr. Microphone (my God, could I drive Carrie nuts with one of those) and the Popeil Pocket Fisherman (or maybe that was Ron Popeil, I get the two confused sometimes).  Either way, with fall right around the corner, this is one presentation you do not want to miss if you hope to boat your personal best this season.  If you RSVP now, the first five members to do so receive Marc’s new creation: Ninja Crème - a tube repairing slash flat tire fixing aerosol slash mace slash disinfectant slash dessert topping, absolutely free (provided they pay for it)!  It’s best on ice cream!  The last sentence is of course completely false (it’s better on pies), but this will be a great talk and I’m sure we can all agree that ice cream is wonderful.  (I’m feeling a bit ramble-e today, can you tell?

In addition to Marc’s presentation, we’ll discuss the ongoing affairs and activities of our little fishing club.  We’ll recap the picnic and I’ll give cast-by-cast recounts of the Casting Contest!  (Here’s a preview! Miss, miss, miss, miss, miss, backlash, miss, miss, tree, miss, miss, miss, bird, miss, miss, park ranger, miss.)  We’ll have all kinds of fun stuff for sale, including: Our new super cool NMA T-shirts (Did you see Cameron Diaz wearing hers at the ESPYs?  Of course you didn’t!  No one watches the ESPYs!), leaders, Knipex, Beckman Nets, replacement hooks, and Mike Fortunate will unveil his dog Dexter’s new live bait set-up, the Pomeranian Rig.

All-in-all it should be a great meeting!  I hope to see you all there.  By the way, has anyone tried the Pocket fisherman for muskies?  I’d bet it would be hard on the back figure-8’ing.
