Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Scott...real good work on the logo & site's background.  I give it two thumbs up & especially like the way you put the "Education, Conservation, etc" in the corners...and it's all on the water!

Thank you, John.  Your comments are always welcomed and appreciated.  The background image of the west river with fog rolling in was taken by Scott Kitchen.  You may recognize the image.  it appeared on the June 2013 newsletter cover.  Of the three logos I've made, the XX version shown seems to be the most popular with members. I think I have a few more logos and tweaks in me yet.  Take a little credit for yourself.  The corners were your idea. Thanks.

you're very welcome, Scott. That is one nice pic that Kitchen took and, to me, takes in how close our club is to the river.  Good job on the logo.

I had to cut things short yesterday.  Ended up watching "Ghost Hunters" do some ghost busting at Buffalo's Naval Park.  They were on the Little Rock, The Sullivans, & the Croaker trying to bust the ghosts at night.  A few spooky things didn't get busted though & couldn't be explained.

I don't know when it was filmed but I kept expecting to see Cap'n Larry trolling in the background.

Any chance of getting a poster made of this in time for the Sportsman's Show at the Ag Center?

Not a bad idea, other than the expense for a banner we would only use for one year.  Check out Kinko's or other printing sites for a quote.  We have a nifty vinyl banner with an oval logo Marc Arena expertly designed a few years ago that we use now.  I don't recall how much we paid, but I remember it being reasonable.  Marc secured the deal from a buddy in Kentucky.

I agree, looks great Scott.

Scott....the one year use is something I didn't think about.  Good thing my wife takes care of all our day-to-day expenses.  I don't even give it a second thought.

Anyway, I printed the logo out on 8-1/2 x 11 HP Premium glossy photo paper.  I'll put it in a frame (try) for the Feb meet.  The clouds in the background look awesome.  They really stand out when printed, much more than on the computer screen.

You're right about the stretch of the logo, though.  Is there anyway to make the center logo "stretch" more side-to-side on the .jpg for the photo only?  I'll show up early for the Feb & show the Board how it came out.

It might be good at the Ag Center.

I intentionally shrunk the logo in Photoshop to compensate for the inherent Ning stretch.  I'll E-mail you an unaltered image.

Thanks much!
