Had trouble getting them to go this weekend.  Fished 2am until noon Saturday and I'm pretty sure they weren't even in there.  Not a follower, no shredded tubes, no lickers, chasers, teasers, nothing.  I'm pretty sure that no fish even paid attention to the vast variety of offerings me and Cullen threw at them.  Night trolled, short line trolled, speed trolled, crunched bottom, jigged, slowed it down and vertical jigged, threw jerk baits, glide baits, spinner baits, bucktails, east river, west river, mouth of river.  Point made, what we had, they didn't want. 

Headed back out today for much of the same with 2 exceptions.  Picked up a 35" fish trolling at 4:30am playing chicken with the shoreline at frenchmans and in a last ditch effort hit a 2nd little fish trolling cross current not to far off just before noon.  I trolled a depth raider back 60 when we hit both fish, they swam past it to get to Cullen's ernies back 40.. lol     Big ZIP for me this weekend, pretty sure I didn't even interest a fish, couldn't even jack an overly aggressive small mouth in the back ripping a stick bait.  Good times none the less.

Good Day

At least you  two put in two good days of work.  The fish were there, they do not move far. Don't have to, they hang in one of the worlds largest buffet strait. Hundreds of tagged fish never moved more then a mile when recaptured...

I know, its just the steelheader in me. If I'm not catching fish they must be blowing right through there! I said it as I laughed all weekend. "These muskies are blowin right through here". "They ain't in here"
