Tom Page and I trolled the east and west rivers today. UN1,2,3,4,5,13,12, and 11.

Nothing.

McKee did better than us, because he fished 3 hours less.

We had a nice lunch and relaxed for two of those hours by the way.  I feel much better now Tony.  Thank you.

Tom Page?  As in the Postman?  How did you convince him to get out on the St. Niagara?  Did he ask you if you wanted to troll out in the Lake, or try for walleyes?

Jon and Tom get skunked when they fish with you?  What are you doing?  Running their lures into weed beds?

I am glad you got out though Tom.  Keep fishing; you are a member of the Motor Island Screaming Aquatic Apes after all.

Man, did it suck out there today.  No follows, no rips and sure as hell no fish.  I think Carl Schenk did manage a 34" (sounded like 34") jigging.  As far as I'm concerned, Pete Mania has nothing on Carl.  I couldn't have caught them with a car battery, dynamite and cadre of trained porpoises dragging nets.  Too quote Jojo, "Rough!  Rough, I say!"

Tom wanted to know the way to the St. Lawrence.

At least when Jon is with me I usually catch a fish.

But I really have to start fishing nights.

Both Jon and Tom are actually a bit rusty and I won't give up on either. But they're killing my ADS hours.

Tomorrow I'm taking out another one of our elders - Frank S. My boat's beginning to look like a geriatric ward (except me, of course). These old guys gotta show that they still have what it takes! You'd think they would at least be able to catch some elder muskies.

ADS Hours: 4.52 hours per fish for me so far.  The boat is 7.48 per two anglers for the season.  Both are a lot better than last year. 

Here's a few fishing with old guys lines:

Do you have a ramp to make it easy for the old timers to get in your boat?

Do you guys have boat snacks or Ensure?

Do you have to quit before lunch is served at the Senior's Center?

Do they yell "Bingo!!!" when they have a fish on?

Do they carry their tackle in an AARP promotional duffel bag?

Do they get a senior's discount at the launch?

Do you have to help them reel in their really big fish?

Do you plan your trolling runs around bathroom breaks?

Do they reminisce about staying in the old hotel on Strawberry Island?

Do they remember using the ferry to get across the River?

Enough of this... Kazmark & Fortunate can hit me these lines in about 20 years. (I hope.)

Ummm... I got a senior's discount at the boat launch.

And I'm thinking of investing in Depends.
