Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

I've been a bit negligent in writing fishing reports this year, although I have posted a couple videos. When you're not catching, not too sure how interesting the report can be. But there's always a…Read More

Thanks for the warm welcome Tony. Glad to be back. Happy the Association & its members are doing well. I’ll try to meet up some day!
Tony...thanks much for the info update and I completely agree with you on the sub-30's fish. It is concerning & I, personally, like to see small fish caught (& properly released) for any species. At least then, we know the fishery is healthy. Has the fishery in the past been cyclic with up's & down's as with other species (take perch five years ago vs. now) or has there been a steady decline? I know the sampling done by the DEC has shown a steady decline in YOY...
thanks much.
Tony...it looks like there are a lot of muskies in the 30" range caught (or lost) so far this month. How does that compare statistically to this time last year? Is it typical? Does it indicate a healthier fishery than last year? Is it too early to tell?
Good Day

NMA members,
We learned yesterday that our August speaker had to cancel due to a family health
issue.
In lieu of the scheduled speaker, we will be reviewing this year's catch data to-date - see what's working, what may be different from years past, and how the season's progressing so far. This info should assist you in your Niagara River fishing pursuits for the next couple months.
