Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

It was a day of near perfect symmetry on Jojo's fly whip this morning.  We each caught two muskies.  Both our fish were 25" and 26".  All our fish were caught in about 17 feet of water.  Both were caught on twitched and jerked orange belly perch Legend Perchbaits.  Both of our lures were brand new.  I had a nice pike follow. Jojo caught a nice pike.  Both of us had to work today.  Both of us got off the water early.  Both of us didn't want to leave.

John Pensyl is still fishing.  He has two so far and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up with four or five.  We are getting down to the eleventh hour.  What are you waiting for?

Great day, finished 4 for 5 after losing a good fish first thing this morning jigging below frenchmans creek.  Fish I lost felt good but the sting didn't last long as I put a 42 inch fish in the net not 100yds down river from where I lost the first one.  Had a lull for a couple hours after that as the area got crowded with a few other boats but managed to hit a 34 incher shortly after 10:30 just below frenchmans tight to shore.  The wind was really messing with me in the west river so I shot over to the huntly wall and "landed" a super dink at maybe 22,23 inches.  I swung the fish up to pop it free and it came lose and flew to the other side of the boat and off the little guy went.  After finishing up the drift down by mid river marina I shot back up to the top of the humpty dumps and began casting.  Wind was kind of pushing me all over but I had a couple follows on a mag dawg and Adam Kaz and Mike Fortunate had lost a 45+" fish boatside and that was enough to keep me casting.  I shot back up to 18ft ledge and began drifting back towards strawberry casting a deep obp toothy up current and ripping it back to the boat.  Just as I reached the bottle neck deep slot between the shallow humps the lure stopped hard, I slammed back hard and felt good headshakes right away.  This one wasn't so easy to net alone as she shot back out of reach a couple times before I managed to put her away.  Kaz and Mike must of heard my "WHOOOS" because they shot right over and started taking guesses at length.  I said 43, mike and kaz both said 45+.  The guys took a couple great pics for me to look back at and remember my "solo musky Mission day" and after getting a good measurment I released a healthy 44.5 inch fish back to its home.  Throughout the day I just kept thinking of Jojo at the launch saying, "Gonna be a good day".  Its funny how that one little comment can keep you casting.  Would of kept going but wind was ripping pretty good and being alone I figd I'd better get the boat on the trailer while I still could.

I kind of like fishing alone....

Heres a little vid of the 42 release...  I'll post the 44.5 pic later.

Good Day

Nice work John. It was a nice day.

To bad we only have 21 days left????

ALA BALA BALA jojoout

I fished the south gap with MIke Creahan today from 7 to 1. Large pods of emerald shiners, then some shad and three definite large hooks at the mouth of the coke channel.  No strikes. Two plastic bags. (Where the heck are they coming from?)  Then tried an hour at the North gap.  Only thing caught was a cold wind.  Glad I had an extra shirt in my bag. Spotted Larry and one other (sorry, didn't recognize whoever it was)

was a good day,, well, almost

Kurt lost a real good one today,, should, have good,, have

way away from the above reports,,, so guess all is good out there

Frank................. was probably myself and Josh Ketry, chatted briefly with Capt Larry as well.

Was a musky type of day, overcast, nice chop on the water, had high expectations but no rips, no fish.

We did have a follow though, retrieving a trolled bait - which was a first for me that I can recall.

Tomorrow should be a good day to swing hard.....warm front before the cold and winds.
