Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

After a solid breakfast at Athena's, Bruce and I "braved" the small craft advisory and fished the river from 1pm to 6:30pm.  Here's a tip, don't bother with the Polish sausage (it's not Wardynski's) but don't forget to add on a pancake.  If Athena's heated up the syrup they'd really have something.  I also suggest getting rye toast with your order.  It was outstanding.... what the hell happened?  What was I writing about again?...  Oh, yeah!  Fishing!  Back to the fishing report!

We fished UN2, 3 and 4.

The three-foot water clarity we enjoyed yesterday was down to maybe a foot-and-a-half with orange.  The wind wasn't too uncomfortable at all. We only took one small wave over the bow, which Bruce found refreshing.  Maybe the experience wasn't refreshing, but Bruce did serve us a round of hot chocolates afterward.  I'll have to member that trick.

There's still a fair amount of floating and suspended grass in the river, but trolling wasn't too much work.  We spent most of our time in 4 and we even did a little casting.

After I started the VMax to warm her up before we zipped to the corner, I throttled back the kicker and the strangest thing happened.  A musky ate my lure.  After a brief tussle, Bruce netted her.  We didn't tape her, but I'd say she was 40-inches and chunky.  She smacked a Page Jailbreak 10" straight Believer back 50' in 14-feet of water.  Dumb luck.  Nice clean fish.  I'll take it.

Instead of moving we stayed in 4 for another two hours before running home.  Fun day on the water.  Like yesterday, today was summer fishing compared to Sunday's mess.  I was telling Bruce how a few members cast all day on Sunday, which we both agreed was bad ass.  My hands would have needed to be amputated.

Best of luck, team.  Get out there and fish.  It's a lot of fun.

I almost forgot.  Check out the image below.  That's the entrance to the Black Rock lock.  Notice anything disturbing?  Something is missing on the graph.  Any guesses?
