Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Right off the get-go this afternoon on my first few casts with our new Shimano Tranx (which is unbelievable by the way, more details to come in the October newsletter) a musky almost believed my jointed bokop Believer was worth eating, twice, in front of Frenchman's.  I was in 15 feet of water with the wind blowing northwest around 15 MPH, casting upstream and reeling the lure straight in.  I was wearing shorts, the nifty Timberland fishing shirt I won at the Picnic, my medic alert bracelet, a long billed red NMA hat and I had about $30 in my pocket.  I also just finished eating half of a turkey sub with mayonnaise (light) and hot peppers.  I washed it down with bottled water and was contemplating having a few pretzels when the fish followed.  Jim Rome was on the radio and was babbling something about Robert Griffin III.  I was casting off the starboard side of my boat.

After casting down to the brown shed I decided to speed troll upstream.  In 8 feet of water with a 5” jointed Wiley Musky King in brown pikie back 25 feet while holding my rod and pumping occasionally I had a low-thirty inch musky on for a few seconds.  This fish jumped and threw the lure.  I was trolling at 4MPH and the fish hit as the boat was 20 yards downstream from the first boat dock upstream from Frenchman’s.  I was drinking Arnold Palmer tea in honor of his birthday and was thinking about the Shipyards when the fish hit.  There were two windsurfers 150 yards upstream from me at a 45 degree angle from my port side.  I don’t wear socks when I wear my boat shoes.  After I lost the fish, I thought my feet might get cold after the sun went down.

I spent the rest of the day trolling and casting in UN13 and 12.  I didn’t see another musky.  My boat shoes are made by Margaretville and are very comfortable.  Shallow I pulled Wiley’s and deep I went with Jakes, Perchbaits, Depthraider and Believers.  I cast an assortment of lures including Perchbaits, Wiley’s, Hi-Fin spinnerbaits, Glitter B!itches, Twisted Tubes and I even dusted off a Bobbie bait.  My boat shoes are the Speed Boat model and are made in China.

Back out tomorrow morning.  I’m not sure what I’ll be wearing, but you can bet I’ll have my boat shoes on.  If I catch anything I’ll post the GPS location(s) and images from my fish finder.

Good Day

Now that's a wish report. The only thing you did not tell was what color undies you had on ( if any?). NICE....

ALA BALA BALA

Did you have the hat tilted to one side?  Which wrist did you have the medic bracelet on?  What was the interval that you were pumping your rod and how far?  What were the windsurfers wearing?  Do you think socs would have made a difference?  If so, what kind and color?

That's what happens when you spend so much time searching for white-space-filler for the newsletter.  Not only do we get fishing reports, we get fashion info, dietary info, windsurfer conditions.........Scott, you are morphing into our own Regis Philbin.

Sponge Bob Musky Pants boxers for the underwear.  The bill of my hat wasn't tilted as the sun was overhead. I always wear my bracelet on my left wrist and often mistake it for a wrist watch.  I was pumping my rod every ten seconds or so.  The windsurfers were wearing blue and white wet suits.  One of them had on a white helmet. Yes, I think I would have landed the fish had I been wearing socks.  Frank, don't miss my new public access morning show, Good Morning Niagara!, 4 AM on channel 9999
