Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Started out a bit late, 6:30am. Trolled for a few minutes just to check the moss. Wasn't bad, just a nuisance. But I wasn't in a trolling mood. So tried casting. First shallow with a Strike King musky pro under 10 feet. Nothing. Then a Depthraider in 10 to 15 feet. Dink follow. Then a tube in twenty feet. Nothing. All in UN1 and 2. Three hours.

Since my name's not Riley, I'll blame it on the light east winds, cold front, and clear blue skies (but I've caught fish on those days before).

Won't be able to try again til Monday. By then it looks like some muskier weather will be passing through.

tony...what was the color of the water?  It's been very brown along the lake shore in the Southtowns & I was wondering if it made it down the river yet.

Also, on your casting setup, what kind of line do you cast with?  Do you have Power Pro or are you casting with mono and your wire leader?  What lb. test do you use?

Thanks...John

water was muddy for a couple hundred yards from the American shore as I left the river at 12:30 this afternoon, but the Canadian side was in good shape with 8'-10' of visibility.  went 0 for 2 with the second fish feeling strong while the fight lasted.  tubes.  still haven't caught a fish this season.

John,

Like Carl said, the water color looked good.

I cast with either 65 or 80lb Power Pro or 80lb Tuff line (different reels). I make my own wire leaders, 175lb test.
