ICE BOOM BEING REMOVED/ BEAVER ABATEMENT CANCELED!

Just got this from Jojo & off the WGRZ site. The Beaver Abatement Tree Wrapping is CANCELLED for Sunday, Apr. 26. There will be too much ice coming down the river to be safe. Maybe in a couple of weeks it'll be OK. Status will be week to week. Stay tuned.

BUFFALO, N.Y. - It's a sign that spring has truly sprung and the cold, icy days of winter are behind us.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has started to remove the ice boom from where Lake Erie and the Niagara River meet."

If you look closely at the video of the ice boom being removed, you'll notice that several of the workers are very short and have conspicuous brown, flat tails protruding from the back of their float suits...
