Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Fished this am 5:45 to 10:30.

Tried an obligatory drift through the triangle. No fish. But my plan included trying UN1, since I hadn't been there but once this year. And I thought I'd try to catch Bruce's fish.

First drift with a tube I hook a fish. Funny, every time I hook a fish I'm surprised. Pretty pathetic. I used to expect to catch fish every time out. Felt like a good fish, but when I saw it I could see it wasn't Bruce's. Not that caliber. But a nice upper 30 incher. And boy did it fight. Powerful headshakes. And I forced it all the way to the boat. No drag. If I ever hook a big fish I'd probably be in trouble. It'll probably rip my arms off unless I loosen the drag. Then I'd probably lose it. Can't imagine hooking a fish like Adam's on a short line and tight drag.

The fish was hooked by the treble trailer. Hooks held despite the fish's best head shaking efforts. In fact I had to snag the hooks with the net to get a quick stick measurement (38") and unhook it. A momentary pause as it realized it was free, and then took off like a rocket. Good fight, good fish, easy water release. 6:15 am on a black/orange ROB ninja tube.

Tried a few more areas, even tried trolling down the east channel, but gave up quickly as 5 large boats with large wakes were running up the river. Didn't want to deal with it.

Quit at 10:30. No more fish. But one good fish every 5 hours or so, and I'm happy.

I love the musky gods!

Water temp was 73 this am.

Sell out!  You love the musky gods?  Where is the real Tony Scime and what have you done with him?

It's like Smith in 1984. They beat you and beat you and beat you. Then give you cake (or something like that - at least stop sticking the rats in your face). Make your life easier. You don't question them anymore. I love Big Brother! I realized early this season that the musky gods were up to something. But as long as they keep feeding me muskies: I LOVE THE MUSKY GODS!

Orwell... nice!  What's next?  Tolstoy?
