Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

The hunt goes on. Andy Lacko & I went out on the SS Lacko, rigged with his electronics, to find the two elusive receivers. It was cold & a bit breezy in the Harbor this morning. The Bell Slip wouldn't cough up her missing but we might have found something at the Cargill elevator.

We came across an object of suspect near the corner of the Cargill. When Andy marked it as a waypoint & we looked at it again, it was very close to the original dropp-off point from last year.

We'll try again on a calmer day when boat control is easier. The concrete anchor is so small compared to its surroundings that the boat has to be spot on to find it. And of, course, we can't be sure it's it anyway.

Does anyone have access to an underwater camera, i.e. like an Aqua-View? That's the only way we'll be sure it is what it is.

I have one we just need a long selfie stick
Or does anyone have one with Bluetooth cape?
Jojoonit

Does anyone have a 22 foot selfie-stick? Maybe tape it to a cannonball & lower it down on a downrigger. It's getting interesting.

My Go pro does connect wireless to my phone so you can watch the video live. But Not sure how the water effects the blue tooth connection.

Tony...the lighting might be a real problem down there too. The object in the pic is the closest thing we saw to something that might be man-made. It could also be a large piece of cut rock.

The GoPro bluetooth will cut out around 6 fow. Weve tried it thru the ice before.

Ill see if I can borrow an Aqua View

Jay..thanks! That would help a lot. Jojo got me a stack of aluminum poles that can be put together up to about 28' so we could tape it to the end of the selfie-stick for control

John,

I do have a Aqua-view camera if you guys need it let me know.

That's great, Joe. It's much appreciated! I will be coordinating with Justin (DEC) & Andy & see what works best. They might still be able to snag it with his grappling hook. A Michigan cricket might be enough to at least lift the chains on the anchor.

I'll be getting with you in the next couple of days. It would be a real lifesaver if we can find & retrieve that thing. It's been in the Harbor all winter & the data hasn't been downloaded yet. It'll be interesting to see what's been happening over that time.
