I have been made aware that the U.S. Coast Guard will enforce the NY State November 1st Life Jacket Law and will be out looking for those not wearing one!

Also read your Boat Insurance Policy,most Have a Lay Up Period from November 1st to April 1st and will not cover any damage that happens in the water durring this time period.I have to pay an additional $250 for November thru December coverage on my Charter Fishing Liability Insurance!

Thanks for the reminder Larry! Anyone in NYS in a boat 21 ft. or less must be wearing a pfd from November 1st through May 1st per NYS law.
