Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Are those vertical posts on the barges like giant power poles to anchor to the bottom?
Steve...exactly. They're called spuds & are driven right to the bottom to hold the barges in position. At the Ferry Landing, one of the spuds broke & they had to anchor with one up & one down, plus the tug other other anchors. See pic from Ferry. You'll see the one up & one down.
The spuds are put up & down by the engine driven winches using about 1-1/2" to 2" steel cable.
