Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

I had the pleasure of spending the day with Mark Wozniak, and Pooner this evening, at the Erie County Sport & Travel Expo. Frank Stachowiak, Dayton Kane, Larry Jones and Bob Hey all hung out around the booth as well. The problem with that is that we stop talking to the masses and spend our time telling stories. Oh well. It’s a problem I would rather have.
We signed up three new members, two of whom were members in the past. The brand spanking new member already has a pair of Knipex and a Beckman, which puts him ahead of the curve. Frank decided we should use our Smitty Lures to reward new members and that sold at least two of our new posse. Welcome aboard guys.
Stories of mythological muskies were way down today. We did have a fella tell us about his friend who guides on the River and regularly sees seven and eight foot muskies and has even caught a few, I would bet. What are we doing wrong?
We had a bunch of friends of members stop by, including a buddy of Mark Maghran’s. He says that Mark is in good spirits and that is, of course, good news. A few of Roddy Ballard’s boys stopped by and mentioned the latest spread in the newsletter featuring the bare chested Roddy has the gals at work whipped up into a frenzy. The kid is jacked!
The best conversation I had was with an aspiring musky hunter who was no more than 10 years old. He came up and started asking all kinds of questions about catching muskies, which is common, but this kid was interested in a lot more than the regular little kid kind of stuff. He was asking almost technical questions and really seemed concerned about releasing muskies correctly. There’s hope for our club yet! I really hope this little guy and his family join.
Sunday, I hope, brings more members and more tall tales.
Well this years show has the best aisle walking musky fishermen I have ever came accross. We have another 70 lber caught this time from Beaver Island Park Marina caught on an perch rig with emerald shinner and 6 lb test line.He grabbed the muskie by the tail and pulled it up on the dock, the muskies head was hanging over one side of the dock and the tail stuck out 2 feet over the other side of the dock.Because the guy works on a farm and tosses hay bails that are 70 lbs he knows the fish weighed 70 lbs! You have to love the Shows and the legends you meet at them.Lets see what today brings to the floor fishing contest!
