Text Messages and Pike Licking

It’s not strange for me to receive what you may call “weird” text messages.  For example my brother sends me pictures of wrestling action figures (read: dolls) posing around town, his house and climbing on Tasha, his Siberian husky.  I’ve always said that text messaging excels in distributing absurd non-sequiturs.  Today Mike Fortunate sent me a rather bizarre series of messages.  Have you ever dieted with a group of friends?  It can be easier when you know there are others monitoring your progress.  With that theme in mind, apparently Mike and Adam Kazmark have made a bit of a side wager on the Operation: Esox Lucius Tournament.  They are fishing together and the unlucky angler who catches the fewest number of pike has to lick the full length of the more successful angler’s longest fish.  Mike implored me to make this bet public, so that neither was able to back out of their accord.  My gut reaction to this bet was, “Yuck”!  But typing this I hope the winner pops a 50-inch green rat on the 6^th.  Bon appetite boys!

I once ate a Jiggin' Joe chicken concoction with an old Daredevil I found in Joe's splash well.  Joe just used his fingers.  Sure it was an old lure, but at least it was a utensil (of sorts).

It must be that neither one got any pike.  Too bad.  I would have liked to see the picture or video of that.

The entire world feels the same way Steve.  Maybe we should have a carp tournament and Adam and Mike could apply their pike bet there.
