Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

It was such a nice day Veronica and I went out for a few hours this afternoon (from 1:30 PM till 4:30 PM).  We spent the entire time in front of Strawberry.  I started out casting an orange belly perch Mr. Toothy and had three follows, including one mid 40's, but each time they dropped off before I could start a figure 8.  Switched over to a new baby bass swim shad and had two hits on the first drift and then two more follows in subsequent drifts.  I had forgotten to put a head shot treble hook on the swim shad and that is exactly where the two hits where.

I put the head shot treble hook on and finally got a fish hooked up and guess what, it was hooked on the trebel.  It was a 36" fish that thought it was a 46" (well at least I thought it was a 46" for a few moments based on how hard she fought, man I love it when they fight like that).  Really clean fish.  I had to keep her in the net an extra few minutes to cut the treble hook apart as she had all three points in her mouth and would not hold still for a second, but she swam away hard and instantly, which is always great to see.

Water clarity was about 6 to 7 feet in front of strawberry.

I have had so many big follows throwing Perchbaits and Toothy's this year, but no takers.  I just can't get them to strike the things.   I'll have to pitch back a Swim Shad
