Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Way to go Team Bondy! How badly do the Bondy's get chewed up after multiple catches?
Another tiger! I am amazed at the number of tiger muskies in our fishery. Does any one have a talley of how many tigers have been landed so far this season? Seems like it must be some sort of record. John, your boat probably has a half dozen alone this season. Tony do your years of data collection and analysis on the river suggest this season is an anomally? Holy tiger musky madness!! Tony Grant would be proud.
Two weeks off the water can be tough.....2 months is enough to drive a person insane. In the last week or two I have started to come to grips with not fishing nearly as much as I would like to. I think it was Ken Szymanski who best explained time off the water at the night bite tourney cookout...."Life requires maintenance". Sometimes more than other times. Enjoy your time on the water. Take pics and post reports for your fellow club members who don't have the free time to pursue the fish they love as much as they'd like. Also, be nice to the ladies...and DON"T USE FLOUROCARBON DAMMIT!!
Thanks for the "enjoy your time on the water", reminder. Sometimes I get too focused and don't let "it" happen. By the way, never use fluorocarbon leaders.
John:
We never kept an official record of tigers, although guys routinely noted when they caught one. I think the ADS would be a better indicator, because we do ask for non-musky catches.
I do believe that this year seems to have more tigers than most. The reasons are likely warm springs, enabling the muskies to spawn earlier - conflicting with pike spawning; and more northerns.
Tigers, although beautiful, are not necessarily a good sign for the musky fishery. First, they are sterile, meaning there's no reproductive benefit in releasing them. Second, although sterile, they go through the spawning ritual with natural muskies, thereby negating the natural's efforts. Third, they are a sign of a significant northern pike population, which is never good for muskies, I think.

Are there any connecting waters on the US or Canadian side where tigers are being stocked? Or is it possible that they traveling through the canal systems to lake Erie or the Niagara?
Tigers occur naturally in waters where muskies and northern pike are present.
