Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

We have all heard that the moon has certain effects on wildlife (and even humans).  Chances are - if you have fished long enough - you may have noticed some correlation between the moon and the behavior of the fish. In my experience, there have been just a little too many "coincidences" to just discredit the possibility all together.

After fishing with Cullen yesterday, and going long spells with zero activity, followed by intense windows of activity (right around the moon rise)....it really does make you go "hmmmmm?"

Have you had an experiences around the moon?

In the gin clear water of the Niagara River I have always done the best at night under the New Moon(Darkside). But then again on the Full Moon nights its the period after the sun goes down just before the moon rises and when the moon goes down before the sun rises that have always given up bigger muskies for me.I acctually believe in storm fronts with rapid barometric pressure changes more and like the falling baromter from 30:00 to 29:85 the best.

lol! no hookset

Gopod Day

Awesome video Josh. Nice work boys.

I have had action on the moon rise. Mostly in the evening but also during the day. I used to  pay attention to it. Not that much any more, to busy busy, but I really should. I would to keep the Musky Hunter Moon rise chart in my log to check it.  I would stay out longer if it was about to rise. I even asked Scott if we could get it posted on our weather spot. He said it will cost us more to get it on site.  I do believe it does act as some kind of trigger. Maybe the water presure changes?  It changes the tidal  waters.

ALA BALA BALA jojoout

Tidal activity does make sense.  I have seen that first hand in Cape Cod. The stripers and blue fish move in with the tide.
