Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Cullen and I were nice enough to shovel, gravel and salt the ramp at the harbor today so we could all go out and catch tons of 50 inch slobs.  Nobody showed up so we went out to catch them all ourselves.  Cullen's lucky streak continued as he ended up with two emerald shiners.  One on a plow and one on a jake on a jojo ball I believe.  1st one was small but 2nd one was a solid 3 incher and fat fat fat.   I added a handful of leaves to our limit that I picked up the couple times I went shallower than 25 foot and plowed bottom.  Called it a day about 12:30.  Salt had ran its cycle by then and ramp is now clean.  Saw a few good hooks on the graph, must have been full.

I believe channel 4 was trying to contact you in regards to you public service! Shall I provide them with your number? Lol

I was told that they pulled the Launch Dock today. At 4:00 pm my client for tomarrow stopped and there was no dock in the water at the SBH launch.

That has to be tough to fish clients without a dock.  Hopefully its still here in the am, but if not I'll manage.

If not I will pick them up by the gas pump dock if I have to,I believe there is a latter there.

Larry,

What did the water look like?

Take care.

There is 2 ft visability

A few things on this subject:

#1) If the dock is pulled, would it be bad etiquette to leave the truck and trailer in the water while fishing?  Leave a note on the windshield: CALL ME IF YOU NEED THIS MOVED

#2) OR I was discussing with Dave - since we are taking his boat tomorrow - that I bring my boat, and we use a bunch of bumpers from everyone and leave my boat/truck in the water and use it as a dock.

I remember Sam Hoyt helped us with this issue once before.  A call from his office or Brian Higgins office to the NFTA and they would drop it back in the water.

Maybe someone should write an letter or make a call on behalf of the NMA to some of the local politicians stressing that by pulling the dock they are creating a danger as there is no safe, public port in Eastern Lake Erie, and the hundreds of members and friends of our club that decide to fish closing week will have to run through an unsafe area of the lake known as "the gauntlet" -  on some days with relatively high forecasted winds.

If anyone was injured or killed as a result of this oversight, it would be tragic, (and possibly negligent?)

I will go to the NFTA SBH Office tomarrow morning and talk to Chris and see why it got pulled and see if I can get it put back in till Dec 1st

Dock is out for sure.

I will not get to the SBH until 10:00 am,then I'll talk to Chris about putting the dock back in.Frank is also calling an NFTA Lawyer friend to see if he can get him to call Chris as well.I believe there is a latter on the gas pump dock!

I sent an E-mail to Brian Higgins.  We'll see...

Scott,That was a good call on your part to email Higgins,Thanks!I'm headed down to the SBH in a couple minutes and will look for Chris and see what I can do.
