I visited Governor Island with MI69 about 6yrs ago and they had been doing it for a couple years as a research project, using SLR brood stock, to assess it's effectiveness since there has been very little evidence of eggs surviving to the fry stage. I think they should have their conclusions soon. I would like to see it expanded to other Lake Ontario locations using the same DNA.
