Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

A relentless 3 day musky grind rewarded me with a special fish this year, the same "should be 50" that Carl had encountered on almost the same day last season.
For anyone who doesn't know the story, after the difficult loss of his dog Sadie last year, Carl went on to have a night of fishing most people could only dream of. A multiple big fish night on a Musky Candy named after Sadie was capped off by a niagara queen that landed just shy of the elusive 50" mark, and only because a large portion of her tail was completely rubbed or chewed off.
Earlier this year I lost my Grandfather who is probably the most significant role model of my life, and is responsible for some of my oldest fishing memories. Since his passing, I carry a tiny crescent wrench of his as a token of luck every time I go fishing.
Her tail seems to be healing slightly, and some people probably couldve got a longer measurement. But I'm not a fan of tightly pinching the tails to try and get fractions of an inch longer on a bump board. I can report that she is a bitter sweet reminder of what we could have. And maybe more importantly, a reminder for us to cherish the things we do have.
