Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

At 83 I am biologically an official old-fart but I feel a lot better after keeping my doctors and surgeons well funded after two knee surgeries, a hip replacement and a new shoulder in the last two years. I have been off the water for way too long but went out with Mike Crehan yesterday. Fished the harbor for five hours.  Saw only one other guy out there, fishing in of all things, a huge pontoon boat that was big enough to accommodate a monthly NMA meeting.

Holding my trolling rig was terrific therapy for my right shoulder, for a while anyway. Winds were light, the sun was bright and I was ready for a fight. (Wow, I'm starting to sound like Scott McKee).

We did the whole south gap routine, went into the lake, and even up the ship canal.

After a million stories, I thought I hooked some weeds but the "weeds" started to thump and I thought this might be a fish. It turned out to be a 24" northern that hit my perch bait.  I was disappointed that  it wasn't a musky but it was finally my first fish in two years. At least I didn't lose a Go-Pro (sorry Tom)

I'm going to physical therapy twice a week for my shoulder but the best therapy to date was a day on the water, musky or no musky.

Keep a tight line!

Frank...I've read Hemingway, Vonnegut, Steinbeck, Poe & a bunch of others, but none have a story as good as yours. It's worthy of a Nobel in Literature. You've got my vote (if it means anything).

Wonderful, Frank!
