July 28, 29 Family Fishing Day

I just want to commend and thank Andy Lacko and Gary Shore for volunteering their time and expertise to the Family Fishing Day held at Freedom Park this past weekend. Andy and Gary spent most of Saturday and Sunday at the event and provided yeoman work to this very worthwhile family affair. They were exceptional representatives of the NMA to the many new and young anglers who needed and appreciated their assistance.

I was only able to attend on Sunday but saw what a worthwhile event this was for many new and young anglers. We spent most of our time rigging new rods (which were given free to all youths) and re-tying and repairing the same rods and reels as needed throughout the day (and it was needed non-stop). The organizers of the event voiced their appreciation for our efforts on a number of occasions, and I know they truly appreciated our efforts.

So again, thank you Andy and Gary for representing the NMA well and in helping the kids of WNY to fish!
