Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Hi Team,
Carrie, John Jarosz and I helped out our team leader, Gary Shore, at the Ladders to the Outdoors kids event today at Beaver Island State Park.
Around fifteen young men learned to cast and fish with bobbers and worms this morning. Despite the blistering heat and overwhelming humidity they all seemed to have a good time. The crew caught one fish, a 13-foot hammerhead shark... or a sunfish... it was probably a sunfish.
Many thanks to Carrie and John for their help. As for Gary, we have the perfect person to coordinate our educational outreach programs. Gary, it's as if you were born for this position. Thank you!

It was a great time, in spite of the weather! Considering their ages, (I'd estimate 9-13), I was SURPRISED at the number of them who had never before held a fishing rod, which shows the need for more to be taken out. Out of that group of about 15, one could expect maybe one to three to turn angling into a passion, which means better environmental conservation, protection of our natural resources and protection and enhancement of our wildlife.
Let's face it; when we were four or five, somebody took the time to take us fishing for the first time. Be that person.
Here's a pic of the master at work, demonstrating & explaining the fine art of casting a bobber into a small puddle of water in the parking lot.
(Puddle is the small dark spot on the right that looks like an oil stain)
