Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Our intrepid Lure and Raffle Director Frank Stachowiak has done it again and in the process may have made an enemy out of next year’s L&R Director Chris Kempf!  Frank has reached an agreement with Jerzey Polovski’s (I think I spelled that right) soon to be out-of-business,  Hang-Um High Tackle Store in Lac Le Belle, Wisconsin to purchase their entire stock of musky lures.  There’s only one problem.  Jerzey has over 4000 baits and he wants $1.25 per bait.  According to their Web site, they carry lures from Drifter, Musky Mania, Legend, Crane, Vibrax, Mepps, Tooth Tamer and Smitty.  I know we don’t need any more Smitty Baits, but Jersey insists on selling his whole stock at once, so I guess we have to take the good with the bad.  Since this is such a huge purchase for us, and we’d have to dip into the Conservation Fund to cover it, we need to have a vote tomorrow.  Jerzey is moving back to Poland and wants the money by Friday. Should we purchase the lures for $5000?  I say yes, although I’m not sure what Mrs’ Kempf will say since the lures will reside at her house next year.  We may have to rent a storage unit?  Comment below with your thoughts.  Thanks and great job Frank!  How many of the baits are Legends?

Id say we need a manifest of whats there...either way its a great deal but you never know. ...the seller could easily put a massive lot or multiple lots on ebay and get 5x that amount! Almost too good to be true

I definitely would want some assurance that we get the lures. It might not be easy sending someone to Poland to get the money back. He wants the money by Friday and then he's off to Poland? When/how do we get the lures?

That is about 200 Raffle Tables of 20 Lures,at $200 prolfit per Raffle Table that is $40,000,so that is $35,000 profit after spending $5000, in just 7 years! Could be a good deal!

I fogot to add that if this is a joke, it's a seriously bad one.

Agreed tony if its a joke he should have tried a lot harder!
Its not a joke; good profit!
If I had $5000 I would buy the 4000 lures, on eBay you could make a big profit in little groups of lures.Even if the NMA sold some lures straight out to the membership and put the rest on the raffle tables it would be a winning proposition.

April Fool's!!!!!

You got me Gang!  My bad!  If it makes you feel any better, last year my little brother convinced six of my friends and I we had won just under $30,000 each in the PowerBall lottery on April 1st. We all but had the money spent!  I was about to book a trip to Nipissing when he called me back.  See you all tomorrow!

April Fools my *ss! I gave Jerzey our Websites to show him that we were legitimate and ha emailed me after he saw our messages in the Forum. He was really p-o'd that we were making fun of him and his generous offer. It looks like he's going to Poland with his lures just to show us he doesn't need us. I asked him what the hell he is going to do with 5000 musky lures in Poland, which has an annual Carp and Eel festival in the Gdansk Harbor. His plan is to introduce fish frys to Poland after what he has seen in Lac Le Belle, Wisconsin. He has come up with a way to marinate the lures, roll them in a light batter, and deep fry them.  He also plans to roll some in dough and make the biggest freakin' pierogies anyone has ever seen. How's that for Polish ingenuity????? The Buffalo Harbor's loss is the Gdansk Harbor's gain. Wait till Anderson Cooper runs a nice story about this on TV and the NMA will be sorry we didn't jump at such a great deal.

Frank! Funny Fool's Day! I'll make up for that loss with with super lure deals tonight!
