Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Check out this article in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

It says the die off in Irondequoit Bay, according to the DEC, was caused by VHS.

Has anyone heard any more about the die off in the Buffalo area or heard of anything similar in other areas?

I witnessed fish swimming around in circles just under the ice on a couple of clear ice days at Small Boat Harbor in February and March that were obviously dying from something.

I've seen the whirling death dance of shad in Wilson Harbor, Sheridan, Beaver Island, Big Six, Union Ship, Freddy's joint, the kayak launch (across from the plant that shall remain nameless (that was for you Jojo)) and the Rich Marine boat launch. Big, small and everything in between, 2013 is not a good time to be a gizzard shad.  Has the DEC made any announcements regarding fish perishing from VHS in Lake Erie?

I went to check my boat at Rich Marine and saw a number of shad doing the Macarena or something like that.  Watched for a while thinking a musky might join the dance but no takers.
