Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

I had a nice little 6.5 hour trip this afternoon and early evening. I started and ended shallow and had some success deep in between. After cleaning a lot of weeds off spinner baits, Wiley's, Musky Stalkers, double tens, Mantas and Jakes, I tried fishing deeper and caught a 38" in UN12 on a Niagara Walleye Depth Raider 90 back in 20 feet of water at 4:40 PM trolling cross current and downstream. I trolled down to UN10 and skipped and jumped back, trolling different holes. When I reached Baker Creek I shot to the Triangle and tried the usual stuff. After hearing a bunch of bass feeding on the surface, I threw around some topwater baits. When I came to my senses, I trolled shallow(ish) in front of Strawberry and landed a 39" at 9:15 on the same Depth Raider, this time only 60 back in 14 feet. The weeds in the river weren't bad at all, but in the canal, and chiefly by my slip, they were horrendous. It took me about 10 minutes to plow through the last 100 feet to my dock. Except for navigating the swamp, it was a wonderful afternoon and evening on the water. I saw a total of 5 boats the entire trip.
Off to the links in the morning. Good luck out there everyone.
