Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Scott M. and I fished 7-11am.  I got a nice 40-incher about 3 minutes into our first troll, in the triangle, on Carpe Diem (like that's a shocker), 20 feet back off a Jojo ball.  Scott had one on casting but it escaped, and I also got a small-smallie on a bucktail.  I can't wait to read everyone's reports, good luck out there!

Nice start Carrie. You're out-fishing the Prez again!

The fish must have been active early. Jon and I started trolling in the harbor about 5:55am. I released a 40.5 incher at 6:00am. Depthraider Hot Perch - still catching after all these years (the lure, not me). Actually, this was like my 25th opener in the harbor, although I might have missed a year or 2. Hard to believe I've been fishing the harbor for that long (I also tried it in the early 1980s in the summer, but never caught a fish).

Jon had a rip about 7:00 am, but didn't stick.

Try again tomorrow...or tonight?

Tony

Way to go, Carrie.  We should all take your advice:

                  "Fish Like a Girl!"

So far so good, awesome to see some successful reports already. We hit a mid 30s fish at 631 in un1 and lost another Dinker about an hour later. Had a nice follow in 10 fow in front of strawberry about 10am and then Dave hit a 38 at 1130 in Frenchmans that I followed right up with a 31 inch walleye. All fish on black tubes. Off the water by 2. Will be back out in the harbor tonight after dark sometime.

Seen a nice fish landed in un1 maybe by Travis Cowell. Looked like a skinny 45+ but was a ways off. Also ran over to help 2 older Canadian gentleman in the Frenchmans drift who hooked a high 30s fish while bass fishing. I lent them my beckman, they got the hook out in the water and let her swim off without pics.

Noticed a few guys bass fishing, our season isnt even open for another week, i was fishing from shore in my waders, all i got were blisters, good to hear of some success.

Seen you out there in your waders. Awesome.

Riley, I thought you were joking about fishing from shore in your overalls... super-hard-core!

John, thanks for helping out the bass guys; probably saved the fish.

My kicker isn't getting power so we only trolled a little today.  (You can watch the gas gauge go down trolling with the VMAX.)  I had Jeff from Brobreil check out the 8 horse, but he couldn't figure it out.  It's got to be a short or a loose wire... Oh well.  Bye bye more money.

Bottomless $$$ pits
Scott, Start with a spark card and see if all coils are dead , if one or two do not spark switch coils around to see if no spark follows the move.If it is still has no spark in the same cylinders, most likely stator. If no power to motor at all, check for corrosion at negative terminal on the battery or a fuseable link is burnt.

I pulled up to miller's creek just as you guys were leaving. Went down to the lower that night, found a little backwater area that was loaded,. lots of follows, taps and bumps, finally one committed and smashed the tube right at my feet but it got loose. High 30's fish.
