11/9 report

Got out tonight for a quick few hours with Cullen. Got bit 4 times in 4 drifts jigging before dark and Cullen landed a 39 ish fish. Right at dark we trolled up from grand island to frenchmans along the drop off and hit a thick 40 down low and a 38 ish up towards the bridge. Then it shut down for us. 3 quick fish, not bad for 5 hours. Tommy R was out there when we quit about 830 so hopefully a beast or 2 ate his lure.

Talk about hardcore, John's leaving Sheridan Launch on his way back out at 6:30 am this morning!

I did that for a few years back in the 90's, until I ended up getting the family lecture on how I fish to much! Gave them one day back out of seven for about 20 years after that.Now I only fish about 6 days a week when you can get out!

Larry, everyone has thier own set of circumstances. For me, i try to fish or go for a hike once a week. Sometimes i dont get out at all and sometimes i'll get out twice in a week. My wife is very understanding of my fishing/outdoor addiction, but thinks that once a week is alot! I got to admit theres nothing more taunting than checking the reports and hereing about the good bites folks get into when your at work, at a kids ball game or just doing family time. Im always happy to hear about peoples catches and happy for them, i just wish i was out there more and/or had more control over when i fish. Then again when im on the water i feel guilty for not being with the family. Torn betwen the things i love i guess. We have all been there im sure. I wish i could be happy with 3- 4 outings a season, that would make life easier.
