fishing reports
Headed out on Friday night and had a fish on and right back off. Stayed longer than I should have and in the early hours of Saturday I set the rod into the holder and locked the direction of the motor headed towards the beach. Told myself I was only going to close my eyes for a few seconds...opened them back up and the rod was going nuts. Nope, not a fish. I had somehow wound up below Miller creek and starting the wild ride down Mr Toad. Oops... Went out last night for a shorter trip and didn't even cover 40 yards when a 36" muskie hit on the first turn I made. I was using a lure Riley Himmrich had made and mailed to me. Hooks had just been put on right before leaving the house. I'm thinking he sent some of his karma along with it...nice!
