NMAFFL Super Bowl

As the NFL enters week 16 of their regular season the NMA Fantasy Football league prepares for its inagural Super Bowl.  Joe Dolan's Veider Bomb! squares off with my Niagara River Skunks for supremacy of imaginary football, as do hundreds of thousands of similar leagues in gridiron cyberspace.

Unlike the NFL our league hasn't been covered to death by media outlets like ESPN, the NFL Network, the Home and Shopping Network, the Des Moines Plain Dealer and the Psychic Hotline. I am sure there are some in our club who don't yet have a favorite NMA fantasy football team as I'm sure there are many more among you who weren't aware the NMA even has a fantasy football league.  With that in my mind I'd though I'd give you a few reasons to root for my team this week:

1. My boys started the season 0-3. Thanks to their determination, my fearless leadership and the golden arm of Patrick Mahomes we stand on the precipice of greatness in the inagural NMA Super Bowl, much like the immortals Bart Starr and Vince Lombardi did some 51 years ago. Starr, Lombardi, Mahomes and McKee... Sounds good, right? Canton, here I come!

2. I am amazingly, stupendously humble.

3. I have a much better singing voice than Joe Dolan.

4. I am also a better dancer.

5. Skunks are cute, provided they are not spraying you. DON'T MAKE ME SPRAY YOU!!!

Best of luck, Joe. Whoever wins, at least our first Super Bowl champion will be a handsome devil...

Reason #5 (seriously):

Oh, who am I kidding?  I am rooting for Scott to win as well!

1. I was wearing a hat this morning and noticed it was sitting straight!  Maybe my ears are not crooked!!
2. His comeback from the start of the year has been impressive and completely dominant.
3. Ever since we had Hawk Creek come and present to our club, I have liked Skunks!  Anyone else remember that "non-sprayable" skunk they brought in and all the stories about it being overly smart and learning how to help itself with anything in the refrigerator?!?
4. I actually want to hear Scott's "2018 Champion" recording.  It will be fun to hear the announcement monthly when he enters the meeting room!
