Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

On this forum string Mike Fortunate, JoJo and I will post pictures and make you aware of all the pretty lures, rods, reels, trips, equipment and donations that will be available on the raffle tables at our 25th anniversary shindy, which will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Pearl Street Grill.
Brian Boyer, the creator and owner of Legend Lures, is one hell of a guy. He has slashed prices for our club for years and years, like so many of the lure makers we call friends. Brian recently filled our banquet order and he was generous enough to donate this gorgeous lure to our Prom. Brian, you are amazing, just like your baits!!!

Thanks for the kind words, Scott. While I was at Rich Marine, I spoke with Jay Rich and got an update on the lawsuit re the wall collapse. The case is "pending" in the federal court system with really no end in sight. The insurance company had a diver video the wall below the water line. Experts opined that the dredging came much too close to the base of the wall and undermined the wall, causing it to sink and break away. Congressman Higgins has not responded to requests for him to take a look at the situation. As a member of Congress, the assumption is that he could take an interest in making the waterway safe for navigation and press the buttons that need to be pressed. His role in the outer harbor etc., gives him an opportunity to facilitate a possible resolution to the situation. If anyone has any contacts with environmental activists, they might be able to call for a clean-up of the mess at the canal.
I went to West Marine to speak with Andy Webster, store manager. I will get some items for the raffle from West Marine but I wanted to let everyone know of some news for Andy.
The West Marine store in Buffalo has an immediate opening for an Assistant Manager. Andy Webster told me that he is looking for a person to train with a goal of promoting the new hire to be a store manager. Hours are flexible, starting salary negotiable. There are opportunities for several health care options. Requirements are an ability to interact with customers, sales, inventory control etc. This location, using corporate metrics, is the #3 ranked store in the West Marine system. Employees get a 30% discount. I don't know all the details but if anyone has a candidate who might be interested, Call Andy Webster at 875-0500 for details. I hope I correctly stated what he told me about the job. I have been successful gathering a bunch of items for the club, but this is the first time I snagged an employment opportunity.
St. Croix has donated two, 40% off any rod coupons for our banquet! How does a 9'0" Elite Musky rod for only $350 sound? Pretty darn good if you ask me! Thank you, St. Croix!!!
Hawk Creek (The rescue group that brings animals and birds to our meetings for shows sometimes) has donated 2 sets of 2 passes for one of their bird or animal shows/meet and greets this year. Considering that they are a non profit organization themselves this is a very generous donation!
For those of you with kids or grandkids: Rolly Pollies has donated a $50 gift certificate!!! Check out their website, they have playgroups and gymnastic type classes!
Salon and Spa in the Tower (Clarence, NY) has donated a $25 gift certificate! This is enough to cover a spa manicure!!!
The Buffalo Bandits have sent us a game program signed by their goalie Matt Vinc! I don't follow lacrosse but, this guy has won a ton of awards and sounds like an amazing player!
Leave the candles! Take the pedicure!

I have seen the Clarke and Brotherhood Bait' Perchies in person...... WOW.
I'm going to gush a little bit on this donation because it's one of my favorite places. Sweet Jenny's Chocolate and Ice Cream Shop (56 E. Spring St. Williamsville, NY) has donated a $20 gift certificate. I am obsessed with their peanut butter sundae with house made sweet cream ice cream... Amazing!!! In addition to their incredible ice cream they boast an impressive array of chocolates that you can watch being made right in store! We always have Aurora with us when we go for ice cream so Scott is outside with her while I go in for treats. Today we went in together to pick up the gift certificate. Scott was very impressed and even more so when we went upstairs to their comic shop. The shop has amazing comics, action figures, signed photos, memorabilia and arcade style video games. Sweet Jenny's is truly a jewel of both Williamsville and WNY and well worth a visit! The best way to support the businesses that support our club is to give them business that supports them!!!
Umm, or the manicure!!!!
