Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Since it is becoming clear that Carrie, Aurora and I won't be heading north for our annual pilgrimage to Lake Nipissing, I was hoping our members might have recommendations for fishing lodges or cabins in the northeast United States.

  • We would like to limit our range to New York,  Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts or Maine.
  • Allowing pets is an absolute must.
  • Musky presence is not a requirement. We will fish for anything.
  • Boat rentals a huge plus.

If you have any positive experiences at a lodge or cabins, please share a link, or even better, a story.  Thanks.

Let's throw Pennsylvania and Ohio into the mix as well.  I guess I always think north when it comes to vacation.

Goodday
Currently Erie n Niagara county are locked out of Vermont...

Thanks, Joe. I noticed that last night. Oh, well.

There is the St John's River in Maine. There are some guides there and also outfitters and campgrounds. You could probably do a combination of them over several days. There is supposed to be a ton of muskies in that river but since some of it borders Canada, I don't know if there is COVID related restrictions.

The Fort Kent, Maine fishing derby is Aug 7-9.

Scott    try to book Capt. Byron Brown.  Paddle boat trolling on wonderful Hoyt Lake.

Not a bad idea, Frank. Hoyt lake has huge carp.

Was at Rich yesterday. went out and tried 2 hours tubing, no hits. Then the 11:00AM cruisers came out with their big wakes.

Your old dock is being rebuilt.  New end pier has been placed.

Spotted a gigantic turtle sunning itself under the dock just across my boat.
