KIDS FISHING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED, JULY 17, 2025, BEAVER ISLAND STATE PARK, 10:00AM - 2:00PM
Hello Team,
The NMA has again been requested to help with a kids fishing event. This event is being sponsored by Ladders to the Outdoors which is an affiliate of the New York State Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation. This will be a big one!
On Thursday, July 17th at 10:00am 75 kids from The Valley Community Center will be arriving at Beaver Island State Park to try their hand at fishing, many for the first time I'm sure. They will have 12 adult chaperones but still need volunteers with fishing experience who are willing to teach the kids. Ladders to the Outdoors will be providing all the gear. Volunteers need only to bring pan fish release tools and maybe a pair of scissors etc.
I will be arriving at 9:30am on that day to check out the gear. Anyone who is interested in helping please call, text or email me and I can provide any addition information needed: 716-541-4337, gpsesc@gmail.com
