Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Event Description

Hello Team!  We have quite a treat for you in November.  Mike McKie (same great sounding name as your fearless leader (how many times am I going to make that joke?)), the President of the Georgian Bay Musky Association, will update us on their expansive telemetry study on the BIG bay.  The GBMA (I believe) is about to celebrate its third year, and they are doing a fantastic job studying muskellunge movements in both the north and south basins of Georgian Bay, and educating anglers on safe musky handling practices.  We "adopted" two fish when the study started, and Mike will tell us how our kids are doing, and what they've been up to.  (I hear our girl has a boyfriend now, can you believe it?)

Adam Kazmark will tell us all about the Tim Wittek Memorial Tournament which (hopefully) takes place on Sunday, November 3 from 7AM to 4PM.  If you are interested in entering the TWMT, contact Adam or me.  You may also sign-up the morning of the event at the foot of Sheridan (6:30 and 6:45AM sharpish).  The entry fee is $25 per angler, and the tournament is open to all members.  We’re having soup and pizza afterward at the foot of Sheridan.

We will be accepting nominations for the 2014 Board of Directors.  All positions are open.  If you're interested in a position, have a member nominate you.

Scott Kitchen, the winner of Tony Scime’s annual Halloween costume contest which was held (not really) at our October Meeting, will display his latest getup, entitled: Madonna: The Lucky Star years.

We'll have all the usual stuff for sale:  Leaders, replacement hooks, Stringease, Knipex, jaw spreaders, Beckman nets, T-shirts and Extendor’s (my new line of Gore-Tex, fleece lined adult diapers designed to help keep you fishing longer: Don’t run to shore… Extendor!)

I hope to see you all there.  November should be a good one.

Scott
