Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

It seems every week on the Beav Patrol has been an adventure.  Can't wait to see what the future brings!  This week it was tromping thru the jungle and watching out for booby-traps.

Many thanks to Jim Kinner & jojo for showing up with their boats to drive the shuttle buses back & forth from Sheridan & Strawberry and to double up their boats as "barges" hauling fencing, tools & supplies.  Without the boats, none of the conservation work on the islands could be done and without the volunteers, nothing would get done, with or without the boats.  If you have some time, please join in.  Every week is fun!!

Next week we may be going to Motor Island as the vegetation on Strawberry is real thick & all tree work has to be wrapped up (man, that was a bad joke) by Oct 1st.  I've decided I'm not going to quit my day job just yet.

Anyway, here are some pics.  The three rolls of donated chain link that jojo got were used up & most of the lighter green fencing was also used up.

Good day. Thanks to ALL helpers and taxis. We will be moving to Motor next week . I got the ok today.
Kyle Weber literally walked into a hornets nest and received 15 bits and a trip to emergency care. Now that's deadication , fortitude and youthful exsubmm wrapped up in a good deed . Looks like we will have to bring First Aid kit from now on. Good job and thanks for shielding us from the killer bees Kyle.?
Every week the island is more like Jursic Park? Now for Jursic Park part 2.
hope everyone is ok after the hornet attack... its is certainly always an adventure!! hopefully my boay will be running for next weeks adventure! jojo leave the 1st aid kit at home ill bring some moonshine for the pain and a bucket o mud for the stingers!

Well, I'm Better now, but it got increasingly worse last night

As the swelling was increasing, and I was breaking out in hives, I called my doctor. with no reply from the answering service, I went to Kenmore Mercy ER. Before long, they had me wired up and an IV in me. Things improved rapidly, and I was discharged in a couple hours. I guess over the years I have become more allergic to stings. I now have an Epi pen.

Jim...glad to hear you're feeling better.  I didn't know it turned out to be that bad. That's the prob with stings.  You can be OK for years & then, all it takes is one & you react.  I had the same problem years ago.  No reactions to stings, then one day I'm working around the house & get stung in the back of the hand.  Next day, the arm is all red & swollen up to the elbow.  Fortunately, the doc was around to take care of it.  I never got an Epi pen but maybe it's time to now.

mike...if you bring the 'shine, can someone else hold it instead of you?  I'm afraid that if you're holding it & it's needed, there won't be any left for the rest of us.
