Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

I've attached an Excel file with the NMA submissions as of November 4, 2025.

2025_NMA_Catch_and_Releases_November 4, 2025.xlsx

The file has tabs listing the catch by submission date, catch date, length, angler and Top Ten. The Top Ten is unofficial.

One noticeable and possibly concerning development is the lack of mature muskies caught during September and October. This past summer was subject to an unprecedented period of high water temperatures. We had 40 consecutive days of temperatures between 76 and 79 degrees. We've never come close to such a long period of such high temperatures. Most years never have a day reaching those temps. These high temperatures may have had an adverse effect on the population of mature muskies. During June, July and August we recorded 23 muskies over 40 inches. During September and October we had 5 (only 1 exceeding 41 inches). Larger muskies are more vulnerable to the adverse effects of the high temps. The catch of fish under 40 inches has been fairly healthy.

We'll have to see what November brings before arriving at any conclusions.

We will be having a Release draw for a $50 Cabela's gift card at tonight's meeting. To be eligible for the drawing you must submit any fish you caught from October 7 to November 4 by tonight's meeting. Currently eligible anglers are Andy Lacko, Tom Reinhardt, Kyle Van Der Kooi, Gary Shore, Scott Kitchen, Rick Kustich, Christopher Baker, and John Della Contrada.

Let me know if you have any questions or corrections.

Tony
