Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Scott and I are on our way from our marina to the River and there is a huge barge and crane that appears to be dredging in the River entrance to the canal in front of the gas dock at Rich Marine. Anybody have any ideas about what they're doing there? I took pictures and will post them later.

Carrie...here's a link from a Buff News article on that dredging.  Last week, they were near the Ferry St bridge & working downstream.  It's in addition to the dredging that was going on in the 6 mi stretch of the Bflo River & the City Ship Canal.

They're dredging the navigation portion of the channel, loading it on that barge, then a tug pushes it to the steel plant area where it's dumped at the hazardous waste holding site, same site as the Bflo Rvr dredgings.  I've seen the barge being pushed near the S. Gap & inside the harbor walls.

All part of the remediation of the whole Bflo R complex & done by the Corps of Eng.  If the link doesn't open, let me know & I'll email it to you as a link.
