Update from Freshwater Future

Does everyone remember the postcards we filled out last year urging congress to take action on the Asian Carp issue?  A couple of days ago I received an e-mail update from Freshwater Future (some of you may have also received this e-mail):

Congress included a measure in the latest highway funding bill to order the Army Corps of Engineers to expedite their study. If signed by the President, the Corps will have 18 months to finish its Asian carp plan. You can read more about it here. This demonstrates how important it is to speak out, and your activism has paid off! Thank you! Your members of Congress are listening, and with your help, we’ll keep the pressure on. We’ll continue to keep you updated on opportunities to act on this issue.
