Took the Big Dogs Out for a Walk on the Niagara Bar Today -12/3/12

Did ya ever have a winter epiphany where a great idea comes to mind for the next musky season? One so overpowering that you just have to do it?

I had one last winter and put it on my things to do list this season.

My bright idea was to troll around the niagara bar pulling big baits just for sh!ts and grins.

Despite having everything I own getting drenched yesterday I made the wish come true today, have to thank the darling wife Judy for helping dry everything out.

Launched out of Ft Niagara this morning and headed to the Bar, no I'm not talking about the Green Can, I mean.... the Bar.................

Put the Big Dogs down, a Brett Harbourmaster and a Brett Marv and started hunting, Lake O was flat calm, a creamy green/whitish but not bad vis, I'd say 4 feet or so.

Let the big boys work up a good sweat then called it a day.

No fish, but I can at least go through this winter without muttering to myself "You should have run the big dogs out on the bar dumba$$"

Keep at it Dave.  You seem to have the knack for landing fall Monsters.  My money is still on you landing a monster from the lower again.  If you stick to that bar I have a feeling you have a chance an absolute giant.
