Images

Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Anibal and I went out this am. Fished the usual areas and a couple extra spots. Did hook one fish in the triangle. Felt decent but came off. I committed a grievous act of stupidity while fighting the fish. A sin which I long ago swore I would never again commit. I stopped reeling and took my hand off the crank to see if my gopro was on. As soon as I stopped reeling the fish came off. I pay dearly for my sins.

And that was the only fish of the day.

By the way, the gopro was on.

...and now that musky is burned into your psyche (just sayin')

You've got to be kidding me... How many times, Scime? How many times have I told you to stop worrying about the GoPro? On a side note, I am really looking forward to your next GoPro video.

Tony,

and if you did land the fish and not check your gopro, they gopro would have been off.

How about a remote control for your GoPro secured to your jigging rod?

The gopro was on the entire time. If I had pressed the button to check to see if it was on I would have turned it off. That's what makes it so incredibly stupid.

I could also actually talk to this gopro. When I hook a fish I can start the recording with a voice command. I don't have the camera set for that because it would use more battery, and the batteries only last a couple hours apiece as it is. But maybe I should try it out. The problems with the gopro is managing the amount of recorded video the sd card will hold and the battery drain. That is why I turn it off at the end of a drift and turn it back on at the start of a new drift. Problem is that sometimes I forget.

Does yours have a Recording Loop so it's constantly recording, then when it gets to the end of a set time, it starts from the beginning & records over previously recorded material. Then if you bring in a musky you stop the loop function when the fish is in the boat & that particular loop is saved

Yes it does. That only works if you remember to stop the recording after you catch a fish. Easier said than done. I used the looping function the first time I used the camera. Caught and recorded a 42 inch fish and forgot to stop the recording.

Have to develop the right routine and make it a habit. I actually already have the routine/habit. The habit was working on the last fish I lost. I lost it because I questioned that I followed my routine, which is like most habitual routines, you never really remember whether you did them or not. If I didn't trust my habits I'd be running back home everytime I go someplace wondering whether or not I locked the door.

I'll just keep doing what I've been doing for the past 7 years or so. It's trying to change the routine which causes problems.
