Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Many thanks to youth fishing volunteers Joe Soldaczewski and Rick Kustich for helping out with today's Ladders to the Outdoors kids fishing event at Beaver Island State Park. Over 50 kids aged 5 to 13 from the Valley Community Center came out to learn how to fish from the best. The very high winds made bobber fishing difficult but the team persevered and all the kids had a great time. The NMA is supporting two more kids events this year: 7/26/25 and 8/13/25. If you haven't already, please reach out to me at 716-541-4337 or gpsesc@gmail.com for more information - you will be glad you did! Thank you!

In my DEC newsletter, there was a write-up of 'Teach Me to Fish" events for kids that the DEC put on in partnership with the Federation of Sportsman's Clubs in Erie County. I could not figure out a way to Copy and paste or post a screenshot of the excerpt.

Here is the text.

Teach-Me-To-Fish: Jumpstarting the next generation of anglers

This June, DEC in collaboration with The Erie County Federation of Sportsman's Clubs hosted two Teach-Me-To-Fish clinics at Tifft Nature Preserve and Chestnut Ridge Park. Each clinic had more than a hundred participants who learned about the many skills they would need to fish in the state.
