Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Well, gang, the Motley Crew of the Beaver Patrol showed up in force & they kicked some beaver butt today!!  Finished up the job because WE RAN OUT OF FENCING!!.  Now that's a good problem to have.  Frank will be getting twice as many rolls for next time & the Patrol has it's AO picked out.  The beavers might as well pack their carcasses & get out of Dodge right now (or Strawberry).

Below is a pic of the Motley Crew that did Round 2 of the project.

A few pics to follow as the work was done quickly & efficiently.  I think the experience of last week's shakedown had everyone getting down to business.

Scott:  should I send all my pics to you to sort out for the next newsletter?  I'll prob write a piece about the project, too.

It should also be noted that you see everyone holding either a bottle or can.  Mike da BBB Perchbait Fortunate kept threatening us that he was going to drop his clothes & swim naked.  That made us all afraid (very afraid) & we needed the drinks to calm our nerves for the ride back.

Seriously, Strawberry was a trash dump today.  Hard to believe that people take a pristine area like that & turn it into a garbage dump.  jojo & the gang did a little house cleaning & brought the trash back to the launch.

Thanks again, gang.  It was awesome to actually run out of material after only an hour.  We've got a lot of work planned for next week in those areas that have had beaver damage & fallen trees.  More help will make it go even quicker..jj

The Motley Crew

I apologize for accidentally cutting out one of the guys (Pat Reilly ?) out of the picture.  He was very helpful as he was one of the taxi drivers to & from the island.  I'm still learning the camera. Below is another pic of the crew with everyone (except me) included.  Again, I apologize for the mis-pic.

Never mind about the reasoning for the 2nd pic.  I think I didn't scroll over far enough on my computer to see him in there.  He was really in the first pic (whew!!).  It's just the ramblings of an old man...jj

John, please shoot the pictures to my E-mail address.  Crew, thank you!  I am very proud of you guys!  Keep up the great work!

you know John I really was excited, Frank said they wanted to film naked and afraid so I figured since everyone else was being so modest I would start the birthday suit train around the island!!!!

hell of a time c u all next week

mike da B...you running a birthday suit train around the island would make a great new show!!  As soon as we kicked off our shoes, we could call it "sole train."

heck of a time yesterday, too.  When Frank said he was bringing 10 rolls next week, did he mean hard rolls?

I dont know if hes bringing 10 rolls but if he does we need more volunteers.....or we might as well bring our tents

What a difference a week makes. It was cooler and drier.  We ran out of wire because we were able to get a good system going. See y'all next week.

Frank

Frank...my son, from Maryland, is home for a couple of weeks, and is an avid fisherman.  He's even better than I but that's because I tell him he had a good teacher.  I'm not sure he's buying into that.  Hopefully, he'll be there, too, to give us a hand.
