Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

I thought I'd start a discussion designed to keep you informed of the latest news on our 20th Anniversary Awards Banquet (6PM on Saturday, April 5 at the Pearl Street Grille).  Here's the latest:

  • Tickets ($40 per person) will be available at our February, March, and April meetings.
  • The ever hustling, ever wheeling and ever dealing Rich Sandig, has secured a donation for a free weekend stay at beautiful Chaudiere Lodge on the upper french River!  Thank you Chaudiere Lodge and Rich!
  • We have purchased eight 10" Jakes, four Legend Plows, and four Perchbaits, and we are sending them to Jim Reynolds for custom paint jobs!  All sixteen lures will appear on the Banquet raffle tables!
  • Capt. Larry Jones has donated a guided full-day fishing trip to the Buffalo Harbor and Lake Erie!  A full day with the most prolific Buffalo Harbor angler sounds pretty good!
  • We made a sizable purchase from NMA Hall-of-Famer Mark Maghran before he moved to Arizona.  All of the lures and the two Lakewoods boxes will appear on a fifth raffle table!  A lot of these lures have sizable teeth marks on them! Nice!
  • We are raffling our Shimano Tranx at the Banquet. This $500 bad boy could be yours for the price of one measly raffle ticket!

I will post to this discussion as more information is available, and more donations are acquired.  I hope to see you all at the 20th Anniversary musky prom!  Do you have your date yet?

Scott...my wallet and I will be going. Can't wait.  Never been to one & I'm really looking forward to it.

Those who attend always tell me they had a great time.  I have no idea what they're talking about?  I always feel better when the banquet is over!

Bring lots and lots of money!!! Ive been saving my pennies since last years banquet!

Scott,I believe you would get a lot more attendence if the NMA had a PayPal Account and could Pay NMA Dues,Buy NMA Stickers & Clothing and Pay for Banquet Online.Very easy to link PayPal to NMA Checking Account and there would be a continuing record of each transaction for inventory. If your worried about loosing 2.5 percent on each transaction, you add a few dollars to PayPal transactions so you loose no funds.A lot of people have credit on the moment, but not cash in hand.

I just received a text from Frank Alcorn.  He's attending our banquet, and he's bringing a few of his magnificent lure retrievers to donate to the raffle tables!  Thank you, Frank!!!

Capt. Ed Cragg of Reel Rippin' Charters has donated a full day guided trip on Waneta Lake to our Banquet!  Thanks Ed!!!

Captain Larry has been a very busy guy lately.  In the past twenty-four hours, he has acquired FOUR fishing charter donations for our Banquet!  FOUR!  Captain Tim Braun of Braun's Outdoor Bass Charters & Guide Service. has donated a full day guided bass trip on Lake Erie. Captain Mark Vilardo has of Kingfisher Charters has donated a free fall or winter steelhead charter on the Lower Niagara!  Captain John Oravac has donated a musky charter on the St Lawrence!!!  Captains Tim, Mark and John join Ed Cragg as Larry's big off-season catches!

Way to go Larry!!!!! At this rate we'll have enough charters to offer one to everyone who attends the musky prom!

Add Capt John Oravec for Muskies on the St.Lawrence River for 2014,when he sends me by email his gift certificate I will email it Scott's way.Capt John wants me to purchase him a Banquet Ticket as well!

More to come!

I just missed your E-mail about John's donation when I originally posted.  You are amazing, Larry!  Four charters in less than twenty four hours, INCREDIBLE!

I'm still working on Pa,Ohio & Ky Guides as well!

Captain Larry's latest status: "Add Musky Itch Too Guide Service, Guide Chuck Bataglia for a Full Day Muskie Charter on Chautauqua Lake for 2 persons for 2014!"

This makes 6 guided trips so far for the Banquet!  Expect more!  Larry is just getting warmed up!

Larry strikes again: "We can add Guide Bob Green on Chautauqua for 5 hr smallmouth trip for 2 persons!"  This makes 7 guided trips for the Banquet raffle tables!
