Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

A really good meeting yesterday. Good presentation, good ideas, good questions and a lot to do this coming year. Looking forward to it.

Here, here, John! We have a lot of work to do, but once accomplished I believe our efforts will have a positive impact on our fisheries that will be felt for decades to come.
Many thanks to our newest member, Zach Baker for his very generous donation of a Baker Bait (below) to our raffle table last night. I was lucky enough to win Zach's creation (could you tell after I screamed with excitement), and I can't wait to fish it. Winter just got a little longer for me The lure looks pretty in the picture below, but to truly appreciate the detail of Zach's baits, they must be seen in person. The red on the bait is very similar to that of my beloved Philadelphia Phillies' red. Accordingly, I've named this lure "Lefty" in honor of the legendary southpaw, Steve Carlton. (His baseball card appears behind the bait.)
It is really a fantastic lure & very generous of Zach. Now, Scott, how do you really feel about winning it...and please don't hold back!!
Yes,I think we are headed in the right direction in our Conservation effort ahead!I will get DNA fin clips from the Great Lakes Strain Muskies being used to stock Preque Isle Bay on Lake Erie infront of Erie,Pa. The muskie fry originated from a hatchery in Green Bay,WI area and were transported to the PA Fish & Game Commision Linesville Hatchery where they were raised to Fall Yearlings for stocking in Presque Isle Bay.This way we can compare the DNA with Buffalo Harbor fish to see if getting Green Bay Muskie Fry is an option.I will work with Chris Kemp to talk to Muskies Canada about the possability of stocking Great Lakes Strain Muskie Fingerlings or Fry from a Canadian Hatchery in Canadian waters from Point Abino to the Peace Bridge.Since the NYSDEC and its VHS rules prohibit using any existing hatchery to raise warm water fish that are from VHS waters.Yet they raise cold water fish ,like steelhead, salmon for the Great Lakes and they are from the same VHS waters!
