Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Went down to Dunkirk Harbor today to fish off the central pier. Two guys were anchored in their Mirro-craft & one hauled in a nice brown. They might have been using wax worms or salted minnows.
Then went to the power outlet platform. The shad were so thick you could've walked on water without getting wet. Also saw a lot of dead ducks washed up on shore.
Here are a couple of pics taken from the platform right over the outlet:

Holy Shad!!!
The cleo's & Blue Fox's were almost useless out there & one of the guys fishing off the outlet was fishing straight down in the mess. He was really surprised when a nice brown picked out his minnow from all the shad.
So yesterday evening, it was dip time for me at the foot of Ferry. Saw one boat on the water at Thompson's hole. The Niag was brown & muddy & not a minnow to be found anywhere at the foot of Ferry, Ontario or Sheridan. Headed back out to Dunkirk today with bobbers & a minnow rig.
icefishing season ended for me yesterday when I was able to put my spudbar through with one hit. finished with 39 trips in the Buffalo area and thousands of perch caught, while never venturing farther south than the USC. damn this stupid warm weather.
Congratulations Carl for great season on the hard water. I'm sorry if you don't share my enthusiasm for it coming to an end.
When's the perch fry, by the way?
Jojo, you wanted to try Gizzard sushi, right? Here's your chance....
My first thought was pickled shad & anisette. Now that's livin' !! Congratulations on a successful winter, Carl, but, like a lot of others, I'm glad it's coming to an end, too.
Just got back from Dunkirk. My son & I ended up catching altogether six steelies, a big brown & two shad, all on live minnows under a bobber. The action really picked up about 2 in the P.M. with a lot of steelies being caught off the wall
Jojo, I saved the shad for you & put them in the back of your van. Hope you found them!
I'd try the sushi, but I'm not generally a huge fan. Jojo, do you remember this conversation our alter egos had?
Iggwise Gamgee: What we need is a few good taters.
Gollum-Jojo: What's taters, precious? What's taters, eh?
Iggwise Gamgee: *Po-tay-toes!* Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew... Lovely big golden chips with a nice piece of fried fish. Even you couldn't say no to that.
Gollum-Jojo: Oh yes we could. Spoilin' nice fish. Give it to us raw and w-r-r-riggling; you keep nasty chips.
